About Us

Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Pahang yang nama asalnya Institut Teknologi MARA (ITM) pada awalnya terletak di Kuantan yang dikenali sebagai Kampus Kota Kuantan. Ini kerana projek penubuhan ITM di Bandar Jengka terpaksa ditangguhkan disebabkan oleh faktor kewangan, kesulitan mendapatkan pensyarah sambilan, kekurangan kemudahan infrastuktur dan persekitaran kurang kondusif. Ia merupakan kampus sementara yang mula beroperasi pada bulan Januari 1985 di Teluk Sisek, Padang Lalang dan Bukit Sekilau dengan enam orang kakitangan akademik dan 15 orang kakitangan pentadbiran. Pada awalnya hanya terdapat tiga program pengajian dijalankan iaitu Diploma Perakaunan, Diploma Pengurusan Perniagaan dan Diploma Pengurusan Bank dengan seramai 225 orang pelajar. Namun demikian pada tahun 1986, sebanyak enam lagi program pengajian ditambah iaitu Diploma Pentadbiran Awam, Diploma Sains Komputer, Diploma Sains Kesetiausahaan, Diploma Sains, Diploma Pengurusan Ladang dan Pra-Kejuruteraan yang menjadikan jumlah pelajar seramai 1143. Pada ketika itu, terdapat 55 kakitangan akademik, 44 orang kakitangan pentadbiran dan 35 kakitangan pekerja harian di kampus cawangan ini. Pada tahun 1993, setelah Kampus Jengka mula beroperasi hanya tinggal 12 orang kakitangan akademik dan 26 orang kakitangan pentadbiran bertugas di Kampus Kuantan.

Kampus Jengka dibina melalui dua fasa iaitu fasa pertama untuk memuatkan 2500 orang pelajar dan fasa kedua yang lengkap mempunyai kemudahan infrastruktur yang mampu menempatkan 4500 orang pelajar. Kawasan Kampus Jengka dibahagikan mengikut nisbah 60:40 iaitu 40% daripada kawasan tanah dijadikan kawasan untuk dibangunkan manakala 60% lagi dijadikan kawasan pertanian. Perancangan penubuhan Kampus Jengka pada dasarnya telah bermula pada tahun 1976 lagi. Ini berdasarkan salinan surat daripada Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri dengan Pengurus Besar Perbadanan Kemajuan Jengka pada ketika itu iaitu Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob dan surat kelulusan kerajaan negeri mengagihkan kawasan seluas 1000 ekar tanah di kawasan Jengka. Manakala kerja-kerja pembinaan Kampus Jengka telah bermula pada tahun 1988 tetapi ianya tertangguh seketika ketika krisis ekonomi melanda. Namun demikian, pembinaannya dapat disiapkan juga pada tahun 1992. Sebahagian pelajar Kampus Kuantan telah dipindahkan ke Kampus Jengka, manakala sebahagian lagi dipindahkan ke ITM Shah Alam. Pada bulan Mei 1993, setelah proses pemindahan pelajar selesai, Kampus Jengka telah memulakan operasi dengan seramai 225 pelajar, 15 kakitangan dan 6 orang pensyarah.

Kampus Jengka telah berkembang dengan baik dengan terdapat hampir 2006 pelajar daripada Fakulti Perakaunan, Fakulti Sains Gunaan, Fakulti Pengurusan Perniagaan dan Fakulti Kejuruteraan pada tahun 2020. Bilangan pelajar pada tahun 2015 telah bertambah kepada hampir 3322 orang dengan pertambahan satu fakulti lagi iaitu Fakulti Sains Komputer dan Matematik. Pada tahun 2015, bilangan pelajar telah bertambah kepada 6442 dengan pertambahan tiga fakulti iaitu Fakulti Sains Pentadbiran dan Pengajian Polisi, Fakulti Perladangan dan Agroteknologi dan Fakulti Sains Sukan dan Rekreasi. Bilangan pelajar di UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Jengka terus bertambah kepada hampir 7208 pada tahun 2015 manakala hanya hampir 4709 orang pelajar mendaftar di Kampus Jengka pada tahun 2020. Pada tahun 2013 terdapat seramai 363 orang yang terdiri daripada pelbagai gred perkhidmatan, 324 orang pada tahun 2015 manakala pada tahun 2020 bilangan pensyarah telah bertambah kepada 371 orang. Bilangan kakitangan sokongan di Kampus Jengka pada tahun 2020 adalah 304 orang.

SIN’25 provides an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology, and applications of Security in information and networks. Papers, special sessions, tutorials, and workshops addressing all aspects and issues of security in information and networks are being pursued.

The conference invites significant original contributions from researchers and industrial working of developing cryptographic algorithms, security schemes, cryptanalysis, application security, system security, cloud security, IoT security, and network security. The conference aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to meet and share cutting-edge advancements in information and network security.

Authors are solicited to contribute to the conference by submitting articles that illustrate research results, project outputs, surveys, and industrial experiences that describe significant advances in Security in Mobile and IoT devices:

How to reach

Kuantan, a capital state on Pahang is located on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It is about 275 km. from Kuala Lumpur City, 380 km. from Johor Bahru/Singapore, 305 km. From Melaka, 219 from Kuala Terengganu and 382 from Kota Bharu.

If you were to drive, from Kuala Lumpur take the East-Coast Highway to Kuantan, from Johor Bahru/Singapore take the North-South Highway exit at Tangkak then go toward Segamat – Muadzam Shah – Kuantan or take the coastal road to Kota Tinggi – Mersing – Rompin – Pekan – Kuantan.

From Kota Bharu/Kuala Terengganu take the coastal road toward Dungun – Kemaman – Kuantan.

From Melaka go toward Tangkak – Segamat – Muadzam Shah – Kuantan.

A long distance (express) bus services link Kuantan to all major towns in Peninsular Malaysia as well as Singapore. In Kuala Lumpur, the bus leave for Kuantan departs from Pudu Raya Bus Terminal and Pekeliling Bus Station. The journey will take 4 – 5 hours. From Johor Bahru, the bus departs from Larkin Bus Terminal and take about 5 – 6 hours. Hired taxi is always available at almost every towns and city.

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) fly from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport in Kuantan daily. It is faster and more convenient to take a flight the duration is about 45 minutes. Besides, for those who come from the northern part of Peninsular (Penang, Kedah, Perlis) flight from Penang to Kuantan operate by ‘Fireflies’ 3 times a week. In addition to that, Singaporean now can enjoy and shorten their journey by taking daily flight from Singapore to Kuantan.

When was the last time you took a train? To go to Pahang by train is a wonderful and spectacular memory. The scenic journey will certainly make you happy and unforgettable experience. The Malaysian Railway (KTMB) operates from Singapore (Woodland) – Tumpat – Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (KL Central) – Tumpat (Kelantan) – Kuala Lumpur daily. To make your journey more convenience you can take this express train with a sleeping berth together.
